The Jason Warren winners keep coming

The Jason Warren stable continued it's great run of recent success with 2 more winners at Seymour on Thursday (COLUMBIA DAY) February 16th and Sale Friday (GRAND DETTE) February 17th 2012.

That made ‎9 winners over the last 3 weeks and 33 winners at a 21+ % strike rate this season.

Andrew Mallyon expertly steered both horses to victory continuing his very productive association with the stable.

COLUMBIA DAY (3YO Chestnut Gelding by Chateau Istana GB - Strata Title) was having his first race start, after winning a Cranbourne trial back in September of 2011. He was position handy in the run before bursting away on the home turn. He responded to the vigorous riding of Andrew Mallyon and was game in holding on for a narrow victory. A super training effort by Jason to have the gelding salute first up, and his future looks promising.

GRAND DETTE lined up at Sale on Friday in coming off a dominant win in a modest 2000m event at Donald. Friday's race was a step up to the next level  and a step up in distance to 2200m. The mare is clearly thriving on her work and racing and her performance to run down the leader and favorite (RED SOLE) was very pleasing. She was strong all the way to, and through the line, and there is no reason to think she won't appreciate running over even further. GRAND DETTE had also never raced on wet track, and it was extremely pleasing to see her relish the heavy 9  conditions. There looks to be more wins in store for this still lightly raced staying mare.

Congratulations to the connections of both horses.
