AEROPLANE SOARS, NEW COLT ARRIVES

Oct 08, 2016

AEROPLANE lived up to his name and good track work with a dominant win on debut last week.

The son of Casino Prince was "Puritinesque" winning by 4L having been eased down over the last 100m. His time of 1.11.87 was marginally slower than Group 2 placed sprinter Demonstrate who won the open sprint later in the day.

"He didn't show much in his first preparation but he really improved this time in. His gallops and jumpouts have been first rate and we couldn't believe it when he drifted out to 60-1" said Jason Warren.

"We thought he would go around at 10-1 and give a great sight so all the owners were very happy when he got the drifts" smiled Warren.

"He is an exciting horse and if he keeps winning, he might end up in a race like the Carbine Club Stakes on Derby Day".

Well done to Mark Leo and all the Delbridge Racing owners. Delbridge have been a great support and have a number of horses in the stable including our two imports Allano andThunder Teddington.

JWR SNAPS UP EXCITING READY TO RUN COLT

The stable has had great success in recent times buying ready to run colts. AEROPLANEand PURITAN were both purchased from the Ready to Run sales.

On Tuesday, JWR paid $65,000 for a sharp looking ALL AMERICAN colt at the Sydney Ready to Run Sale.

"He is a lovely type of colt. He has that X-factor about him and reminds me a lot of PURITAN at the same age".

"For those who remember PURITAN's breeze up, he was very raw but he had a big long stride and you could see his untapped ability. This colt breezed up in much the same way. He has a massive stride and looks a natural talent".

This colt hails from a proven blacktype family. His sire ALL AMERICAN produced last season's champion 2yo filly YANKEE ROSE (pictured) who ran second in the Golden Slipper before winning the G1 Sires Produce.

His mother (STORMY MISS) was a stakes-winning juvenile whilst his sister (TORNADO MISS) was Group 2 placed in the The Roses (the leadup to the Qld Oaks) which suggests that this fella might get out to 1600m and beyond. Don't forget, ALL AMERICAN famously beat SO YOU THINK in the G1 Emirates Stakes in race record time over a mile!
