JWR'S CUP WEEK PREVIEW

Oct 28, 2016

"It doesn't get any better than Melbourne Cup week! The sun is out and the roses are blooming at Flemington and it promises to be another bumper carnival.

It has been a busy week down at the farm with plenty of owners dropping in this week. It was good to see our kiwi friends Mark Freeman and Mike Colson swing by to see PENTELLIGENTSIA.

We had the boys from Cronulla in NSW (Ben, Kevin and Richard) drop in to see their Redoute’s Choice filly this morning. They are still on cloud 9 from the Sharks’ NRL premiership and arrived in style today on board a privately chartered helicopter!

My best of the weekend is VIOLENT SNOW tonight at the Valley and really hoping that our little Your Song filly gets a run on Cup Day in the Group 3.

Look forward to seeing plenty of owners at Flemington during the week" - Jason Warren

JOCKEY CHANGE FOR VIOLENT SNOW

Melham out. Lane in. Benny Melham is having an excellent spring but he would be the first to admit that his last two rides on Violent Snow were't his finest!

Violent Snow runs tonight at the Valley in Race 3 and the team expect her to run a great race. Good luck to connections.

CUP DAY DREAM STILL ALIVE

It will be a nervous few days for the owners in our Your Song x Secret Status 2yo filly (named SHE KEEPS NOSECRET) as she sweats on a run in the Group 3 Emirates Airline Stakes on Cup Day.

She is first emergency and no guarantees of getting a run. After two impressive jumpouts and a cracking trial at Cranbourne, she deserves her spot in the field. She is a natural 2yo, has plenty of ability and speed and she could surprise them at big odds and run into the placings.

She was bought for $40,000 at this years Magic Millions Sale and has been set for this race for the last 3 months. It would be a fantastic achievement to make the field and a great experience for the owners to have a Cup Day runner!

Fingers crossed she gets the call up!

MORNINGTON SUNDAY - PENINSULA CUP DAY

The stable has three runners on Peninsula Cup Day. SAVALAND is an improving staying filly and gets out to a more suitable distance on Sunday. She is still a work on progress and will be one to watch in the Autumn.

VICIOUS pulled up with the thumps after his last race which explained his poor run. He isn't the most genuine galloper going around but it certainly deserves another chance.

SPRITELY GIRL (pictured) has been a good mare for her connections and resumes from a winter spell. She generally needs a run to find her best form so maybe look for her second up.

ALL AMERICAN COLT - LAST CHANCE

Our All American colt is just about sold out. If anyone wishes to take the last share, please call us over the weekend.

ILOVETHISCITY COLT - A VALUE BUY

We are currently syndicating this stellar looking ILOVETHISCITY colt with 10% shares costing $4,500 + GST. He is an outstanding looking colt by a promising young stallion and could be the value buy of 2016. For more information - click here http://jasonwarrenracing.com.au/horses-available
