Dec 23, 2015

Firstly, we would like to wish all our wonderful owners a very merry Christmas and a safe and enjoyable New Years.

Our fantastic run with our fillies and mares continued on Sunday with 2yo Snitzel filly THE SEDUCTRESS winning impressively at Bendigo for our first ever JWR Womens Syndicate.

Sunday's win has seen THE SEDUCTRESS rocket up the order of entry for next month's $2.5 million Magic Millions Gold Coast Classic. She has risen to 33rd in order for the big race. The Seductress will now run on New Years Day at Flemington and a win there would guarantee her a start in Magic Millions.

"It would be a nice delimma if she won at Flemington" smiled Jason Warren.

"You never say never but I think it would be asking too much to run at Flemington and then whisk her up to the Gold Coast for the biggest race of her life 8 days later. We have just run out of time with her which is a shame. She had a little hamstring strain which put us a few weeks behind schedule".

The Seductress is JWR's first ever Women's Only horse which was an initiative aimed at attracting females into horse ownership and taking advantage of the $500k Womens in Racing Bonus offered by Magic Millions.

Congratulations to Kim Toohey, Skye Spicer, Judy Greenup, Michaela McNee, Lyn Toohey and Pui Chun Sang.

Street Cry filly BACKSTREET LOVER couldn't have been more impressive in her two wins to date. She faces her biggest test today taking on the boys at Sandown.

"She is probably the biggest and strongest 3yo in our stable so she is well equipped to take on the boys. Today will tell us more about her. She is going up in grade and taking on the boys so she is no good thing but she's an exciting prospect and hopefully her ability will get her over the line".

The last time HIPSTER GIRL ran beyond a mile and a quarter, she ran 4th in the VRC Oaks over 2500m. If she repeats her Oaks performance today, she should go close over the 2400m trip at Sandown.

"Her last run at Flemington was super when she finished 3rd. She was beaten by the slow tempo at Flemington so hopefully there is more speed today. I would love to see her win a metro race. She really deserves it and she won't get a better chance than today" said Warren.

"Teddy" is booked on a flight and will be arriving in Australia early next year which is fantastic news. Greg Carpenter from Racing Victoria has given him an Australian rating of 85 which will see him walk straight into a 2000m Saturday race.

"His Australia rating will allow us to kick him off in a restricted BM90 or BM96 race at Flemington without having to carry too much weight. He would be very hard to beat in that grade which is a big drop in class from what he has been contesting in Germany. I don't think his rating will stay that low for very long" said Warren.

We have had a great response from some of our best clients. John Wheeler and Mark Leo who race German import ALLANO have jumped on board and we have a couple of new clients involved. There are still a couple of shares left for anyone interested in racing "Teddy".

The Magic Millions Sale kicks off on Wednesday 6th of January which is always an exciting time. The Seductress was purchased at this sale last year and the early signs look very good with her. With over 1000 lots catalogued, Jason and Julian will be on the ground looking for some quality youngsters for the stable.

We are offering a new service for those owners who would like to be kept in the loop throughout the sale. If you would like to receive daily updates, photos and a copy of our shortlisted horses, please register your interest by emailing Julian - julian@jasonwarrenracing.com.au.
