The AFL grand final is still another month or so away. But for DOUBLE DEE, her grand final is tomorrow. She heads to Caulfield for her 28th and final ever start in the Group 3 Cockram Stakes.

It's fair to say that she's up against it! She is up in grade and taking on some very slick mares headed by Gai Waterhouse's multiple Group 1 winning mare Cosmic Endeavour.

"We are certainly not going there thinking that we can win. She isn't well off at the weights and is jumping up significantly in class. But anything can happen in a big field of mares. Luck is going to play a big part and we are just hoping that she can run a place and gain some blacktype. We've got nothing to lose so we are going into the race very relaxed".

"She looks outstanding and has trained on nicely since her good win at Sandown. She heads to the Hunter Valley on Monday to be served by Exceed and Excel so lets hope she can bow out with a career best run".

Exciting Beneteau gelding PURITAN (Race 2) is a chance to make his long awaited debut at Sale on Sunday. He has been ultra impressive in both his trials and certainly has untapped potential. The track at Sale is currently a Heavy 10 so he is only 50/50n to run. If the track doesn't improve, we will save him for a race at Sandown next Wednesday.

LONGCHAMP BELLE (Race 5) was scratched from Sandown on Wednesday and saved for the heavy track at Sale. She loves the sting out of the ground and has the services of young apprentice Brandon Stockdale. She is only a little mare and the claim will come in handy on the heavy ground. She has threatened to win a race this preparation so hopefully Sunday is the day.

High Chaparral mare BEARISH (Race 7) seems to have turned the corner with a much improved run last weekend at Cranbourne. She is a tricky horse to train. She is a very big burley mare and very susceptible to tying up so it's been difficult to get her fit on the training track. This will be her third run in 12 days but she is thriving on the racing hasn't been this fit some time. She should be very competitive on Sunday at good odds.

GODSPIEL (Race 9) was disappointing at Caulfield last start but pulled up with heat in her foot which explained her poor run. She didn't appreciate the firm ground last start and will be at home on the Heavy 10 at Sale.
