PARALLEL LINES NOTCHES FIRST WIN
Jul 15, 2015
Two year old Mossman filly Parallel Lines broke a run of frustrating placings for the stable with a nice win at Echuca on Monday in the 2yo Super Vobis Maiden.
Ridden by young apprentice Jye McNeil, Parallel Lines settled midfield before getting to the middle of the track in the straight and producing a strong late burst.
"It was fantastic to see her put it all together today. She was a little green in the spring but has come back much more professional. She is relaxing in her races and really hitting the line" said trainer Jason Warren.
"I think we will see the best of her once she steps out to 1400m and 1600m. She didn't beat a whole lot today but she is growing in confidence and we are hoping that she can kick on and hopefully develop into a city class filly" said Warren.
Parallel Lines was purchased at the Magic Millions Sale for $80,000 in partnership with Mark Leo's Delbridge Racing. This is our first winner for Delbridge Racing and hopefully not the last! Delbridge Racing also part own 2yo filly PORSCHE BELLE and German import ALLANO.
"Delbridge Racing syndicated 60% of the filly and we filled the rest. We put some new owners into the filly with Mark Greenup from Associated Bloodstock taking 10% and John Wheeler and a few of his colleagues from Visy Paper taking the balance so it was great getting a win for some new owners" explained Warren.
