A big day in Sydney tomorrow with 2yo colt THE BARRISTER lining up on Day 2 of The Championships.

After winning the Mornington Sires Produce in good fashion, the decision was made this week to send him north for a crack at the listed Fernhill Handicap over 1600m. "Whilst it will be a great experience for the owners to have a runner in the Championships, he is not up here to make up the numbers" smiled Jason Warren.

"He has good form and looks a genuine chance in a field which looks very evenly matched. He has thrived since his win at Mornington and Hughie Bowman was very impressed when he took him for a spin during the week" said Warren.

"He is one of the toughest 2yo's that I have trained for a while...this will be his 5th run this preparation but he is showing no signs of slowing down. He loves racing and will give a great sight tomorrow".

VIOLENT SNOW has been one of the big improvers in the stable over the last 6 months. The unfashionably bred daughter of Volitant has won 2 from 5 starts and deserves a crack at Saturday grade tomorrow. She was unlucky not to win at Sandown last start and isn't without each way claims tomorrow.

DANGER CLOSE has been taking on some hot fields of late but finds himself in his right race tomorrow. He was run off his feet over 955m at the Valley and will appreciate the slower tempo at Flemington tomorrow. We have made two important gear changes for tomorrow. The visors go on which will hopefully sharpen him up and in form hoop Benny Melham goes on for the first time.

The stable is on track for a career best season with 35 winners so far this season.

The stable only had one runner this week and we made it count! BEEN SCENE (pictured below) went to a Vobis Gold race at Stony Creek on Tuesday and won in great style collecting more than $20k in Vobis Bonuses. She was a hot favourite after a slashing run on Mornington Cup Day and won accordingly!

It was a great result for all the owners and especially those owners who bought into the filly 3 weeks ago. We advertised shares in her before her Mornington race but only a few owners took up the offer...they were left smiling from ear to ear on Tuesday when she saluted! We still have some shares left, so please call Julian if you wish to be involved.

Clanbooke Racing are having a great run with the stable and banked another winner last week when SAMUELSSON won at the 'Bool'! The win was even more special for Assistant Trainer Mitch Beer who selected "Sammy" as a yearling and put together his current ownership syndicate. He was off the scene for 12 months with injury so it was a great effort to get him back into the winners circle. Great job Mitch and congrats to all his owners.

Above: Happy owners. Mitch, Darryl (strapped) and Jase Runic
