Snitzel's great run with his babies continued on the weekend. And yet again it was his girls leading the charge with 2yo filly FIREWORKS storming home to win the Group 3 Widden Stakes at Rosehill Gardens.

The Widden Stakes has thrown up the past two Golden Slipper winners in Overreach and Mossfun but trainer Gerald Ryan is in no hurry to commit Fireworks to a start in the world's richest race for two-year olds.

Fireworks' victory also brought up milestones for her sire and trainer. She is the 27th stakeswinner and the 15th 2YO stakeswinner for Snitzel.

For trainer Gerald Ryan, Fireworks is his 30th individual winner sired by Snitzel and his sixth Group winner following on from Snitzerland, Flying Snitzel, Hot Snitzel, Time For War & Dances On Stars. It's no surprise to see Ryan training so many Snitzel winners as he also trained Sniztel himself throughout his decorated career which included a win in the G1 Oakleigh Plate.

We still have shares available in our very popular Snitzel filly (pictured below) which we bought for $170,000 at this years Magic Millions Sale. 10% shares are still available so please call the office before they sell out. She is being trained for next years lucrative Magic Millions Race on the Gold Coast which is worth $2m.
