Mornington trainer Jason Warren has a likely candidate for next year’s Magic Millions 2YO Classic after pin-pointing a racy Snitzel filly from Lauriston Thoroughbreds at the Gold Coast on Thursday.

“She was value considering what some of the other Snitzels are selling for this week,” Warren said. “It’s been hard to get a good one at the right price so we’re very happy to send her home for $170,000.”

The Snitzel – Five Star Belle filly is the first foal of a half-sister to G1 QTC Sires’ Produce Stakes winner Aragen and Perth stakes winner Cavallo Pazzo. “She’s a stunning filly and looks a two year-old type,” Warren added. “There’s been plenty of hype around the first season sires but I will take her any day.”

Lauriston Thoroughbreds returned to the Gold Coast for the first time in several years. “We were lucky enough to buy Gold Edition here and she won the Magic Millions 3YO Trophy,” Lauriston Thoroughbreds operations manager James O’Brien said. “The atmosphere is terrific and all our yearlings have been nominated for Super VOBIS.”
