Our Valued Staff
Our staff and specialised hired services personnel are an integral part of Jason Warren Racing Stables.
We all share a common passion for horses and for success in racing.
Our staff necessarily demonstrate a high level of commitment and passion to the successful day to day running of our training operations and the Denistoun Park complex.
Jason Warren, Trainer
Jason Warren grew up in the Bega valley area and has worked with horses most of his life. After starting off at shows and events, and riding track work an Ballina, Jason moved to Victoria and worked for Eliza Park (riding work and breaking in horses). After a couple of years with Eliza Park Jason took out a trainers’ license in his own right, and started training, pre-training and breaking in horses as his own man (on a property on Stumpy Gulley Rd, just minutes from Denistoun Park).
Jason then decided that he wanted to further his knowledge of training, and went to champion trainer Lee Freedman becoming his foreman during the time that Makybe Diva reigned supreme. His time with Freedman racing also included Benicio winning the VRC Derby and Serenade Rose winning the VRC Oaks. At that time Denistoun Park served as the Freedman's pre-training property.
In 2006, with increased knowledge and experience, Jason purchased Denistoun Park and now has up to 52 horses in work (education, pre-training and full training).
At only 35yo Jason is young, driven, passion and totally committed to racing success.
Further details of Jason's background and of how he cam to be at Denistoun Park can be found in the November 2011 Inside Racing article here.
